Datuk Ian Ong graduated in 1992 from The University of London (External) with an award winning Second Class (Upper) Honors and went on to complete his Certificate in Legal Practice in 1993.
His journey in the food & beverage industry commenced in 2005 and within a decade, launched the Uncle Don’s brand on 11th September 2015 with a perfected business model. Under his leadership, the brand emerged and evolved into a distinguished food & beverage group.
He was conferred The BrandLaureate Master Brand Builder of the Decade 2020, Des Prix Infinitus Media Icon of the Year 2021, The BrandLaureate CEO of the Year 2022 and SEBA Entrepreneur of the Year 2022.
As a Founding Member and Chief Operating Officer, Jahnel Aguaron drives the Group’s operational excellence, leading end-to-end operations including profitability management, workforce strategy, talent development, staff deployment, and the consistent execution of service and operational standards across all outlets.
With a progressive approach to finance and extensive professional experience, Damayanthi Vivegananthan, Group Chief Financial Officer, has been an integral member of Uncle Don’s Group since 2021. She oversees the Group’s financial strategy, governance, and performance, supporting sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
